Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children
RULivinrite is partners with TSRHC because they put Children First. It's a philosophy that began in 1921 when a Dallas orthopedic surgeon and a group of Masons saw the need to provide children with quality medical care, regardless of their ability to pay. Today TSRHC provides ongoing care for more than 14,000 children each year, without charge. Thanks to the contributions made by individuals, foundations and corporations, no family has ever received a bill for services. Especially Needed
Especially Needed is an organization based on a vision that a community can exist where individuals with special needs are respected, valued and included. This community is made up of caring people who serve as a support system as well as mentors for this unique and wonderful group of children and adults.
Raising a 7 year old daughter with Down Syndrome, I understand the trials and tribulations a family faces everyday. My goal is that through Especially Needed, families will have a place where they can attend events with ease, relax and just spend quality time with their family. Information regarding local services and resources will be easily accessible through our database and families with limited resources will receive help with therapy and other services. There are no limits to the differences a community can make when our hearts and minds join together. The Samaritan Inn
The Samaritan Inn is Collin County's only homeless shelter and home to 130 men, women and children. Families make up a large part of our population with children accounting for an average of 30%. A Children's Caseworker is dedicated to the task making sure that they are succeeding in school and arranges tutoring as needed. Programs, field trips and camps are offered to the children year round.
The Samaritan Inn relies heavily on community support as we are not a government funded program. A simple donation of a package of toilet paper goes a long way since our facility is almost always full. Thank you for your support! www.thesamaritaninn.org/
